Rustic/Vintage Cards

How many of you have ever gone into the store to pick out a greeting card and nothing jumped out at you, or the messages in the cards were not saying what you wanted them to say? Handmade greeting cards are a perfect way to show or tell someone that you are thinking of them, you wish them the best, or congratulations.
Creating invitations started out from my hobby of card making. Being that I am a teacher and I am off in the summers, I spent endless hours last summer making lots and lots of cards. Here are a set of 5 thank you cards I made. They have a nice vintage/rustic feel to them!

All 5 of them together. The vase in the background was made by me, but it is not for sale! LOL

Graduation

It is that time of year! The class of 2012 finished high school, and now they are off to colleges and trade schools, etc. To give ode to a boy I knew for all 18 years of his life, I made a banner that said "Moving Forward to Greatness..Mario". I also made the candy buffet place cards...mmm. There were lots of delicious  candies on the table. Let's just say for a person who tries to deny her sweet craving, it was very tempting! LOL. I must admit I indulged. Here are the pictures of the work I did. I hope you like!

The beginning and the end of the banner had a look alike diploma on it.

His banner had a total of three layers of paper and pop out letters with a black shadow behind it!

His school emblem was printed on the banner! Look alike diplomas were added to the banner as well.

These are the candy buffet place cards; they were made to look diplomas.
Each place card was interchangeable.

This is how they looked on the candy table.

This was the final look with the banner and candy table.

This is the greeting card I made for him!
I hope you enjoyed the banner and candy buffet place cards.

Bible Invitation

The baby was being named after a person from the Bible. So the mom wanted the invitation to reflect just that. Here is what I created for this mom to be!

The invitation was made in a Bible shape. The information was printed on an insert that was made like a bookmark. The mom personally called to thank me and tell me how many people raved about these invites! A banner was made as well for the party. Let your baby come in "in style".

This was the gift bag made for little Ezekiel's gift!

I hope you enjoyed this invitation!

All White party!

So a while back, a new client came to me and explained that she was having a retirement party for her parents! She stressed the fact that she wanted the invites to be clean, elegant, and "inviting". I created invitations for three different events she was having for the retirement celebration. In total, I made 185 invitations for this event!

To start the celebration off, there was a scheduled dinner for just the family. Because the celebration was taking place at an upscale restaurant, I designed this invitation as if it was an upscale menu!

I created this invitation by creating a pocket fold out of a Damask napkin.

Red was added to give it a "pop" color.

The next invitation was created for the "main event" of the celebration. It was an all white party. I added black as a contrast color.
Each invitation came with a belly band, two inserts, a feather, and rhinestones.

The last invitation created for this event was for the after party. My client's father is apart of a biker club. The information was printed on the back of this invitation. Here is how I paid tributes to his hobby!
Each invitation had a strip of paper made to look like a leather biker belt!

My client received so much positive feedback! The pictures explain why! I hope you enjoyed!

30 and Fab!

"She sailed through her twenties. Now she is docking at her thirties." These were the first two lines on this party invitation. This was created for a soon to be thirty year old client, who was having her party on a boat!
Check out how she cruised the night away!

The outside of the invitation!

Her guests did not want to even open it up because of how pretty it was!

The inside was sure a surprise with this pop up ship, moon, stars, and a feather!

Everyone who received this invitation was thrilled! I hope you enjoyed!

Instruments

This invitation was created for a musically inclined little boy! He loves music so much that his mother decided to have a drum party for his 5th birthday. A banner and party bags were created as well. I apologize for the quality of the pictures! Photography will be next on my list of things to learn! LOL

This invitation was filled with so much detail. From personalized drum sticks to rhinestones, the crowd went crazy when he finished handing out these!

I hope you enjoyed them!
