Strike!

In baseball, strike means that you are out, but in bowling it means that you scored a homerun and knocked all the pins down! I striked out with the creation of this invitation! I never want to make what has already been made, so I went to the internet for some inspiration. What I came up with was a replica of a billboard sign. I started out by making a pocket fold invitation. I then added layers of pins, bowling balls, and letters to imitate the original billboard sign. I must say that I enjoyed how this invitation turned out, and I hope you enjoy it too!

Fall Harvest

I love the coming of fall and all the colors the season brings. From deep oranges, reds, yellow, to browns, anything you create with this color scheme is sure to be a hit. I was excited when I was asked to design an invitation for a pumpkin carving party. My mind immediately started thinking about how I could make this invitation a hit! I decided to create a base for the invitation, so it could serve not only as an informative piece but a decorative piece as well! Besides, who doesn't love to decorate their house for this season? I added pumpkins to the invitation. I even embossed the gate. To top it off, I personalized it by putting "Josh's Patch!" Check out what I created! I hope you enjoy it just as much I enjoyed creating it!

50 Shades

Have you read the 50 Shades series? I read all 3 in a week last summer! Because the book swept and took over the households of everyone, I wasn't surprised to see that people were throwing parties with the 50 Shades theme. Today I bring you an invite with a combined look of all three 50 Shades front covers. The design is embossed with rhinestones and real chains. The quality of the paper makes every detail shimmer with every angle. I really enjoyed making this invite! I hope you enjoy it equally just as much!

Tea Time!

All things antiqued is becoming my new theme! I love how the aged look gives things a nice touch of elegance and femininity.  This summer has been the summer of weddings for me. Therefore, it kept me busy. Today I bring you an invitation and decorations made for a late afternoon tea. Make note of the touch of elegance on the invite and in the decorations. Soft pastel pinks, tans, and greens were used. Dollies and pearls were added to give it more detail and depth. Tea pots and tea cups filled with carnations gave it a garden feel. I absolutely LOVE how everything came out! I hope you do too! Enjoy!

Oh boy! It's a boy!

It's been a while since I posted... I've been busy with work, vacations, and yes weddings! As a matter of fact, I took a break from making decorations for a vintage tea bridal shower to write this post! Stay calm and keep on writing! Lol. Today I am posting invitations I made for an upcoming baby shower. The mom to be wanted the theme to be baby Sesame Street and the colors to be turquoise and red. I added splashes of other colors to tie in the Sesame Street theme. I really enjoyed making this invitation! The mom to be absolutely loved it! I hope you enjoy it just as much! Back to crafting I go!

Personalized Housewarming Gift

Centered Around You creates things that are All About You, which is why we were excited to create this personalized gift for a housewarming party. Everyone loves candles, so what better way to display your candles than with personalized stands. This gift was fun to make. The couple's decor displayed warm earth tone colors. Therefore, wooden blocks were decorated with scrapbook papers with tan and brown designs. Things also look better when they are given an aged look. Then each block had a letter of their  last name. On the final wooden block, the year they were married was adhered to the block. A keepsake box was made to hold the personalized votive wooden block stands. Also, a handmade gift bag and card were made to give to the couple.
Enjoy! Remember: Your thoughts and ideas matter!

An intricate design!

Centered Around You Creations had the pleasure of designing and making invitations for someone close and dear. We believe that a wedding should be personal, so having custom invites were a must! My sister wedding colors are purple and silver, so pearlized layers of paper were used to create this intricate design. I hope you enjoy this post as much as she enjoyed the invites.
